Neligh, Nebraska 

Peter & Maggie Sample – church-strengthening

Summer Internship (male only)

We are looking for a summer intern who will work with our ministry family from Mid-July until the school term starts in August. During the 1st half of the internship, the intern would minister with Peter during the week at the local nursing home and assisted living facilities, help with a possible VBS, help with our outreach at the county fair (making balloon animals, face painting, handing out Bibles and witnessing), and help Peter as he prepares for a sabbatical in August. During August, duties would include preaching on Sundays and performing regular pastoral duties while Peter is on sabbatical. The pastoral family and congregation would provide lodging in their homes.

Paw Paw, Illinois

Jed & Joella Cary – church-strengthening (with hearts to mentor church-planters, too)

Summer Internship; 1- or 2-year Residency (male or female)

Depending on the intern, we could host them at the Careys’ residence or at a number of retirees’ homes that have space. They would receive exposure to practical ministry and weekly coaching on how to apply what they have learned to that ministry. Our summer activities are VBS and a Day Camp for middle schoolers. They would also have the opportunity to be involved in our routine ministries as their gifting allows: Bible studies, Sunday School, Sunday Worship, Saturday Worship, and Small Groups. They would have weekly coaching and processing time with Jed.

Garden City, Utah 

Bill & Gloria Bagley – church-planting

Summer Work/Ministry Internship (male and female student workers)

We are looking for students with a reputation for being excellent workers who are interested in working throughout the summer: secular job 80-90% of the time; donate 10-20% serving in our ministry’s Village Shops (Thrift Store, Tea Room). Daily morning devotions with ministry team. Sunday ministry opportunities involving teaching/helping with children’s ministry. (Garden City is next to Bear Lake, a summer destination for tens of thousands of tourists from around the world.)

Brody & Liz Olson and Gareth & Kristin Evans – church-planting 

Summer Internship (youth ministry, male or female)

One of our biggest outreaches of the year is coming up the 4^th of July weekend! It’s an excellent opportunity to meet thousands of ex-FLDS (Fundamentalist Latter-Day Saints) people from our community by serving them at the biggest event of the year.  We host a church booth and provide all of the kids’ activities for the 4,000-5,000 people in attendance. If you are looking for an opportunity to serve the former fundamentalist Mormon community, this is the perfect one!

Marquette, Kansas

Kenny & Christa Baumann – church-strengthening

Summer Internship (female only)

Christa needs help with:

• VBS planning and carrying out a full program (with a team of volunteers) before June 12.
• Cleaning out, organizing, and decorating two Sunday School rooms to make them more useable.
• 2-3 outreach ministries, especially for the kids in a latch-key type of situation in the summer, hosting them in a positive and gospel-driven way.
• Possible planning of family events – hosting a grill-out or family friendly games, etc. (We have big ideas and are praying through what kind of momentum we can really give.)
• Assisting in Nursery and Children’s church ministry that would give Christa the gift of sitting in some Sunday services.
